Record Store Day 2012 haul. I spent less than last year, but more than I planned. I guess that’s a win-win though, right? There’s nothing major on my list I didn’t get except the Arcade Fire release, but that wasn’t a huge loss to me. I haven’t listened to any of these yet, because my girlfriend is babysitting her cousin’s kids. It’s our tradition to listen to all of our buys together, so we’re waiting until I get back from Las Vegas on Tuesday night. Instead I spent the day mowing the lawn and taking down the Christmas lights (don’t look at me like that; it’s only April). Now I’m going to go have burgers with my girlfriend and her mom and the kids, and then I’m going to pack and pass out. It was a beautiful day in Seattle, by the way. Emmie Lou spent all afternoon outside with me living it up. Genuinely bummed I’m going to miss tomorrow’s even better weather by going to Vegas and dying in triple digit heat. (And YES that’s the Arctic Monkeys 7” in the lower left that I was worried would be a UK only release. My girlfriend and I joked that the RSD master shipper people must have switched up the Arctic Monkeys and Arcade Fire releases due to them both starting with “arc” and that now the UK has all the Arcade Fire copies.)
