I know you were worried guys, but don’t worry, I’m still alive:

4 houses, 60 bullets

In the South End, police said, more than 60 bullets were fired at four houses, beginning about 1 a.m. The police gang unit is investigating at least two of those shootings.

The first shooting, at 1 a.m., was in the Brighton neighborhood on South Frontenac Street. Shortly after 3 a.m., bullets hit a home in the 4600 block of South Holden Street, also in the Brighton neighborhood, and in the 4800 block of Columbian Drive South, on Beacon Hill.

At about 3:10 a.m., a girl was nearly shot inside her bedroom at 4200 South Henderson Street in the Rainier Beach area.

But holy shit, seriously, everyone needs to chill. My neighborhood was already the most dangerous in the city, but this is getting unreal. These are all within about a mile radius of my house.

Well at least this is some good news.

But seriously, it feels like we’re headed towards an all out war in the south end. The reputation of the SPD is so poor that people were allegedly trying to fight the cops when they showed up to this shooting, and they couldn’t get to the victim for five minutes after arriving.

His father held him in his arms as he died.

Sad, just sad.

I laughed when I saw this because my girlfriend makes fun of me every time I’m annoyed with the service of a business, due to the fact that one time I wrote a sternly written letter to Car Toys. Any time I start complaining, she immediately asks, “are you going to write a letter?”

Clever girl.

But for real, the Seattle PD is fucked up, and good on the DOJ for calling out these pathetic reform efforts.
