trainjuice asked: Where are your favorite places in Seattle: Brunch, weeknight dinner, weekend dinner?

Brunch: Easy, I love me some Chandler’s on Lake Union. They’re not especially cheap, but the food is good and they always have drink specials. Plus the weekend brunch and happy hour are back to back, so if you’re in for an all day drinking extravaganza (which we’ve been known to do) you can still do it for cheaper prices. The view is also really nice, and if you sit in the lounge there’s a nice little fireplace for those stormy Seattle mornings.

Weeknight Dinner: This used to be the Madrona Ale House, because their food is awesome and they have tons of great IPA’s, but our friend no longer works there so we haven’t been since. However, since we don’t have a new staple, I’ll definitely still recommend that place. (It’s a neighborhood spot though, so if you don’t like kids playing around all over the place you’re definitely not going to like it. I also can’t vouch for the food anymore since my friend was the head chef.)

Weekend Dinner: Elliott’s, for sure. It’s spendy, but that’s why you save it for the weekend. Down on the pier so every table has a good view, more oysters than you can shake a stick at, and great all around food. Thinking about those oysters is making me salivate, it’s a good thing I have lunch in 20 minutes.

Those are the first three that popped into my head, but there are tons of good spots in Seattle. You can’t go wrong with any of Tom Douglas’ restaurants, and Tutta Bella has great Neopolitan pizzas if that’s your bag. And the Pike Pub has pretty decent food to accompany its awesome beers.
